Pastor Anita L. (Hamilton) Brandon
Pastor Brandon enjoys the blessings of a very busy and fruitful life. This worshiping, praying, preaching, teaching, gospel singing, servant of the Lord is fully committed to Christ, and to serving others. She is the faithful wife of the Honorable Judge W.C. Brandon, Jr. (Ret.), the proud mother of amazing adult children, DeMarkus (Tiffany), Leah, and Devon (Patric), and the grateful grandmother of a very strong and energetic little girl, Riley Adanna.
Pastor Brandon grew up in the city of St. Louis, Missouri as a preacher’s kid, “P.K.” - a daughter of the late Rev. Dr. A. L. Hamilton, Sr. A product of the St. Louis Public Schools, she also holds a B.A. in Psychology, and a Master of Arts in Education-Counseling from the University of Missouri, St. Louis.
For many years, Pastor Brandon has been active in local evangelism ministry and training efforts. In 2007, she responded to the Lord's call on her life to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Pastor Brandon was honored to learn and serve as part of the ministerial staff at St. Paul Baptist Church, East St. Louis, Illinois, under the care of her pastor, and father in ministry, the late Rev. Dr. Obie Rush. She was licensed in 2012, and ordained as a Baptist Minister in 2014 at St. Paul, under the leadership of her Pastor, Rev. Gary Gaston. While at St. Paul, Pastor Brandon served on the Rush Senior Gardens Apartment Board of Advisors. And she served faithfully with the New Member, Evangelism and Christian Education Ministries until she was led to start the Parkside Area Christian Church, affectionately known as The PACC.
After more than thirty years of service in college student services, counseling and administration, Pastor Brandon retired in 2017. She is humbled to utilize her education, skills and experiences to carry out the sacred work of serving others and making disciples. She and her devoted husband, Deacon Brandon, truly love the Lord, and give tirelessly to the ministry, where they prayerfully strive to lead others into the marvelous light and love of Jesus Christ.
